Blended Gifts: A New Generation’s Charitable Giving

Summary: A significant portion of inheritable wealth (wealth that will not be expended during the earner’s lifetime) is in tax-deferred retirement plans, such as IRAs and 401k plans. This presentation will explore strategies of lifetime and testamentary giving relevant to the next-in-line generation of givers.

Sarah Corney, Esq., is a private practice attorney with the firm of RCO Law.  She focuses her practice on estate planning, business planning, and real estate. She assists individuals and business owners by implementing a plan for their finances, healthcare, and legacies in the event of their disability or death. Much of her practice involves the drafting of wills, trusts, deeds, and business agreements.

1 Hour of Continuing Education credit has been approved for OH Insurance, CLE, CFP, CPE, PACE & CFRE.

Directors serve three year terms and may serve two consecutive terms. Directors are expected to attend Board meetings, attend seminars/events and work toward the common goal of forwarding TAPPP’s mission to enhance the knowledge and gift planning skills of our members, serve our clients and donors, to collaborate in making the experience of charitable giving meaningful and ultimately to benefit our communities.

The Toledo Area Partnership for Philanthropic Planning is pleased to offer a $1,000          scholarship to a selected recipient to attend the 2017 National Conference on Philanthropic Planning in Baltimore, MD from October 9-11. The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning serves as the source for education, research and advocacy for all professionals who have a role in designing and implementing donors’ philanthropic plans. The conference provides more than 40 sessions featuring pertinent speakers and topics, as well as prime networking opportunities.
